We encourage every user to read our terms of business in case they have any questions regarding the protection and handling of they personal data. The aim of our Terms of Business is to inform our users how their data provided through this web page is treated and used.
IdeaLab! e.V. is completely committed to not only ensure a safe environment for our users but also to ensure the user’s privacy and the secure handling of the user’s personal data that is given to IdeaLab! e.V. during the course of an application and afterwards. IdeaLab! e.V. complies with data protection legislation according to the German Bundesdatenschutzgesetz.
Our Webpage contains links to other web sites over which we have no control. IdeaLab!e.V. therefore is not responsible for the privacy policies and practices of other web sites to which you choose to be linked to from our web site. These terms of business applies solely to the information processed on idea-lab.org and not to any information we collect in any other way.
Retention, Rectification and Collection of Your Data
The user can at any times retrieve her/his own data. The user can also at any times demand for rectification of any data about her/him that is displayed on this web page. In case of revocation concerning the saving and processing of personal data, it is not possible for IdeaLab e.V. to admit the applicant to the congress. In the course of an application to our conferences, you will use our application to upload a CV. You will be providing us with personal data which we will use in accordance with this statement. We strongly suggest that your CV should not contain data relating to your (i) racial or ethnic origin (ii) political beliefs (iii) philosophical or religious beliefs (iv) membership of a trade union or political party (v) physical or mental health (vi) sexual life or (vii) the commission of criminal offences or proceedings.
Use of Your Information And The Saving of Your Data
We use all data gathered during the course of your application in order to select the participants invited to the conference. Every applicant has the right to look at her/his personal data saved and processed by IdeaLab! at any times. In order to see the data the applicant has to state a specific request and needs to provide a copy of her/his passport. The applicant will then receive an Email or a Letter in order to look at the data.
We will save your data until one year after the conference you applied for in order to have a basis for yearly quality checks. After one year we will delete all information collected and we will destroy any form of hard-copy information (except general contact details, such as address and email) concerning your person. If you explicitly do not want to us to save your general contact details for up to 10 years you have to tell us.
Liabilities: IdeaLab! is not responsible for any false information in the application forms. Furthermore IdeaLab! is not responsible for delays caused by a failure of computers or technical equipment. IdeaLab! will not take responsibility for misconduct of personal data of participants since sponsors and team members might use personal data in an illegal way although strictly forbidden to do so. For any kind of this misconduct IdeaLab! will not be liable.
All users are being informed that their data will be used in compliance to §33 part 1 of the Bundesdatenschutzgesetz. We will as already mentioned keep the data in a digital form for a period longer than the actual congress.
Certificates
IdeaLab! can keep all certificates handed in during the process of application in order to verify them. Only copies of certificates are to be handed in. Every copy must be completely equivalent to the original. IdeaLab! will destroy the copies only six months after the congress. No copies of certificates are sent back to the applicant.
